Research on Fluid Mechanics at the University of Seville Dr. Francisco Gancedo (RYC-2010-07094)

Francisco Gancedo gained an ERC Starting Grant (2014) for his project entitled “Analysis of moving incompressible fluid interfaces (FLUID-INTERFACE)”.

Francisco Gancedo is a Ramon y Cajal Researcher at the Department of Mathematical Analysis, Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Seville. His research interests are analysis, partial differential equations and fluid mechanics.

He obtained his PhD in 2007 from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and held a L.E. Dickson Instructor position at the University of Chicago. Nowadays he is Member of the “Instituto de Matemáticas” (University of Seville) and Honorary “Doctor Vinculado” at the ICMAT-CSIC. He has co-authored more than 30 publications and has obtained several awards, among which is the XVII “Antonio Valle” Prize from the “Sociedad Española de Matematica Aplicada” (2014).
