Of course one has to be *very* cautious to equate excellent science to obtaining European funding. Nonetheless we are very pleased to see that among the Spanish ERC laureates there is an overwhelming number of RyC fellows.
Of the 20 ERC Starting Grants that went to Spanish researchers in the previous call, 15 grants went to RyC fellows! That is 75 {987377834475827bd293c9570e6e34e1fd3bfe2c9e167eb93fc77b9654f442d6} of the ERC Starting Grants have been assigned to RyC fellows. In the respective web pages (Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Physical Sciences and Engineering) one can see how the grants are distributed among the participating countries. For example, the Netherlands obtained a total of 34 ERC starting grants.
We have included various examples of RyC fellows who obtained an ERC Starting Grant this call in another section of our website.
Es obvio que hay que llevar *mucho* cuidado en no caer en la trampa tendenciosa de igualar buena investigación a obtener fondos Europeos. No obstante estamos muy contentos de ver que un gran número de los que han obtenido fondos dentro del programa ERC Starting Grants son investigadores RyC.
De los 20 ERC starting grants que fueron otorgado a España, un total de 15 han ido a beneficiarios del programa Ramón y Cajal! O sea, el 75 {987377834475827bd293c9570e6e34e1fd3bfe2c9e167eb93fc77b9654f442d6} de los ERC Starting Grants han ido a RyCs.
